Visa Extension for Lao PDR
As of September 2010, you cannot extend a visa for Lao PDR. You must exit and re-enter the country to obtain a new visa.

Countries Requiring a New Visa for Lao PDR: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bahrain, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Monaco, Oman, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Qatar, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States of America, Vietnam.

For those planning to stay longer than 30 days or from countries not listed above, a visa must be obtained from the Thai Consulate in advance.

Visa to Vietnam

• Citizens of Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Laos do not need a visa for visits up to 30 days.
• Philippines passport holders do not need a visa for visits up to 21 days.
• Citizens of Brunei, Korea, Japan, and Scandinavian countries (Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland) do not need a visa for visits up to 15 days.
• A passport and return tickets are required for all visitors.
• All other nationalities must obtain a Vietnam entry visa from Vietnamese embassies/consulates before departure.

• Citizens of Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam do not need a visa to visit Cambodia.
