Enjoy a jungle picnic styled after the Khmu minority group’s traditions.
Itinerary: Trek – Approx. 3-4 hours
Depart from the office by Tuk-Tuk at 9:00 am heading southwest, a 40-minute journey to the starting point. En route, stop at a local market for supplies and Chalernsouk village to pick up a knowledgeable local guide familiar with the trails, herbs, plants, and wildlife tracking in the region. Begin the trek gradually ascending from Doiluckkam (Lao for Gold Mountain) into untouched jungle within Nam Ha National Protected Area, where you may glimpse wildlife or their tracks. Guides will share ancestral knowledge about medicinal plants and edible leaves, and select a scenic spot for a delicious Khmu picnic lunch using jungle resources.
