1 Day Kayak Namtha River-Make Funny, Exiting & Challenge
Trip Overview:
River is the large and provides excellent kayaking thrills year-round, as your tackle as you tackle in exciting rapid and whitewater, dramatic scenery between Nam Ha NPA and land for plantation area, fresh and delicious of Lao food for picnic lunch next to the bank of the river, discovery some villages which include multi-culture of minority group.
ITINERARY. Approx. 4-5 hours, 20 Km
At 9:00 am, meet the guide and driver at the office with briefly each other introduction before driving to the morning market to buy food supplies, then move to the kayaking start point. After a brief tutorial on saying techniques and safety, kayaking starts paddle with the calmly water before stopping to visit Lanten people (indigo color, paper maker) at Sop Tud village, taking time to meet the locals and learn about their culture. Lunch will be stop somewhere in the bank of Namtha river. After lunch stopping, back on the river and start to paddle through the rapid, whitewater, both side of the river is surrounding by mountain. Further down river we stop to visit Khmu people before reaching the Khmu village of Houylued village, a tuk-tuk awaits our arrival for the transfer back to the town at around 4-5:00pm.
